The short version
There are no accounts on this site. You do not sign up, log in or give us your name to take a practice test. Your answers and scores stay in your own browser and are not sent to or stored on our server.
What the practice tests do
Each quiz is a single web page that runs in your browser. When a quiz asks for a name, it is used only to print on your certificate, on your own screen. Close the page and it is gone.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web host automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested: the address it was sent to, the browser type, the page and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are not used to identify you.
Cookies and advertising
The site does not set its own cookies. Some pages have space reserved for advertising. If ads are shown, they may be served by Google AdSense, and Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google’s Ad Settings, and read how Google uses this information on its partner-sites page.
Pool expiry alerts
The email alert sign-up is not switched on yet, and no addresses are being collected. When it is, the address you give will be used only to send the alerts you asked for, and every email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Other websites
The study centres open on our sister site, criticalmassbook.com, which works the same way. Links to official sources such as USCIS, the FCC and the FAA take you to their own sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Children
The site is meant for adults preparing for licence and citizenship exams and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it.
